Zonal Congress : Osun Central PDP anoints Bunmi Jenyo for SW Secretary, again

BUNMI JENYO ADOPTED SW ZONAL SECRETARY AGAIN IN OSUN CENTRAL

Monday, September 28 2020 remains a day of reckoning, signaling the possible turn of events in the forthcoming Zonal Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the South West, as the Executives of the party in the Central Senatorial District of Osun State unanimously declared support for Rev. Bunmi Jenyo.

Rev. Jenyo is the immediate past Zonal Secretary of the South West Zone who have served meritoriously in varying capacities including but not limited to the Senatorial Chairman of the PDP in Osun Central between 2012 to 2016.

Osun Central Senatorial District is made up of ten local governments in Osun State.

The Ila Orangun born politician was, in the morning, hosted by the Senatorial leadership under the Chairmanship of Hon. Babatunde Abesin at the State PDP Secretariat, Biket area of Osogbo where PDP State Officers and Local Government Chairmen were also in attendance.

The PDP leaders who joined hands in solidarity for Rev. Jenyo maintained that he (Jenyo) has contributed immensely towards the growth and progress of the party, hence the need to compensate him with massive support during the forthcoming Zonal Congress in the Zone.

Speaking with Nigerian Platform shortly after the meeting, the Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Abesin disclosed that achievements of Rev. Jenyo as the Senatorial Chairman speaks volumes, and his impacts cannot be underestimated.

According to him “Rev. Bunmi Jenyo is our face at the Zonal level, he did excellently well when he was the Senatorial Chairman and didn’t disappoint us in the last four years, as the South West Zonal Secretary”.

“He was one of the very few best we have, this is evident in the unanimous decision of our leaders and the generality of all delegates to throw our weight behind him in his re-election bid as the Zonal Secretary of our great party” Hon. Abesin said.

The event was organised in preparation for the forthcoming South West Zonal Congress.
