Bunmi Jenyo lauds Governor Adeleke on payment of backlog of Osun salary arrears

BUNMI JENYO LAUDS GOVERNOR ADELEKE ON PAYMENT OF BACKLOG OF OSUN SALARY ARREARS

The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, Rev. Dr. Bunmi Jenyo has lauded Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his regular payment of salary arrears of the Osun workers, who were owed till the end of the Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola’s administration in 2022.

This was contained in a statement by the Commissioner, which was made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Monday.

Despite Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola’s inability to pay the humongous debt, running to billions of Naira, Governor Adeleke has cleared over 30 months half-salary, being a debt inherited from the Oyetola’s administration, to the rightful owners in different categories, across the Osun State Civil Service.

Members of the public are hereby reminded of the sheer pessimism of the former Governor during a governorship debate in Osogbo, the State Capital, where he said emphatically that no government would be able to pay the workers’ debts.

Little did the former Governor know that passionate, focused and responsible governance could sort out the debts, within the space of four years. Today, as promised during the debate that if he was elected, Governor Adeleke has paid the substantial part of the debt incurred to the State by the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under which Alhaji Oyetola served as the Chief of Staff to the Governor.

No doubt, Governor Adeleke is a promise keeper. This is an example of promise made and kept by His Excellency.

Today, the workers with their families who were once demoralised and treated with disdain during Oyetola’s government, are now smiling to banks at intervals, receiving their salary arrears from the Osun State government, ably led by the people’s Governor, Ademola Adeleke.

To demonstrate his statemanship that knows no bounds, Governor Ademola Adeleke ensured that former Governor Oyetola, his cabinet members and other government functionaries also received their owed entitlements directly from their varying banks. This is exemplary of a true leader with politics without bitterness!

While the former Governor’s uninformed position are being defeated, as though himself in the 2022 governorship polls, workers, their family members, loved ones and the entire Osun people are resolute to return the Asiwaju of Edeland to the office, through ballot, come August 15, 2026.

Osun people have tasted both governments and need not a seer to convince them about the continuity of light over darkness, wealth over poverty and humanity over wickedness. The people of the State are in love with Governor Adeleke, who is courageous, visionary and passionate about his citizens’ welfare in all ramifications.

The masses are prepared to vote and re-elect the passionate Governor for another term of four years, mainly to complete his good works, targeted at improving the lives of his citizens.

According to the Commissioner, “His Excellency, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke must be commended for great works he is doing, across all sectors of the economy in Osun State. Specifically, kudos must be given to Mr. Governor for keeping his promise to clear the backlog of Osun workers salary arrears. GOD will continue to strengthen and bless him to do more, Amen”.

“Mr. Governor has put lies and its peddlers to shame. Their impossibilities have been made possible. Governor Adeleke has transformed the lives of Osun workers and citizens”, he said.

BUNMI JENYO URGES OPPOSITION APC TO FACE REALITY, STOP CHEAP BLACKMAIL

The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, Rev. Dr. Bunmi Jenyo has cautioned the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) against the usage of propaganda and cheap blackmail and face issue-based campaign ahead of the August 15 gubernatorial election.

The Commissioner who pointed out that no blackmail has won any credible election anywhere in the world, charged the APC and its governorship candidate to start telling the people what they wanted to do if elected into the office.

He advised the APC Campaign Director General, Hon. Wole Oke to stop his usual song that the Executive Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke would not be on the ballot for the forthcoming polls. He challenged him to prepare his mind and face the reality of the will of the electorate.

According to the Commissioner, the people of Osun State are wiser, their eyes are open and are prepared to re-elect the performing Governor Ademola Adeleke for the second term of office. “People can now differentiate the democracy dividends obtainable during APC’s four-year tenure and less than Governor Adeleke’s administration”, he said.

“Governor Adeleke has delivered on his promises made during electioneering in 2022. People can see, feel and touch it. The achievements of Governor Adeleke are accessible in the nooks and crannies of Osun State. No doubt he is genuinely loved and wanted by the masses to do more”, the Commissioner said.

He promised that the State government facility will soon be rehabilitated to encourage commercial activities of the Ayegbaju International Market and Osun State as a whole.

2026: Adeleke shines in Osun beyond 2030

2026: ADELEKE SHINES IN OSUN BEYOND 2030

By Sesan Adeleke

According to the schedule of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the electioneering campaign for the Osun State governorship election, scheduled for 15th August 2026, has begun in earnest. It is evidently clear that Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke continues to shine in the minds of the masses, to retain his position, for another term, on Election Day.

This is not unconnected with the giant strides, unprecedented achievements, result-oriented actions, pro-people policies and responsible governance by the Asiwaju of Edeland, in paddling the canoe of affairs of Osun State, since November 27, 2022.

The Governor, running under the platform of Accord (A) party, has further built credibility, love and trust on his name and that of his family, the Adeleke Dynasty of Ede, that are already known, since the day of Senator Raji Ayoola Adeleke, for effective leadership, philanthropy, selflessness, good governance and passion for greater exploits of the people, communities, Osun State, Nigeria and beyond.

Regardless of bitterness, vendetta and desperate envy against Ademola Adeleke, the generality of the Osun masses, whose eyes have opened through experience of Osun’s successive administrations, the popularity of the Governor keeps increasing and permeating the hearts of the people, in every nook and cranny of the State of the Living Spring.

Against all odds, Governor Adeleke’s initiatives, policies and style of governance have sent jitters down the spine of his political adversaries and their handlers. The opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) is confused, hallucinating, blabbing and more confused by the soaring popularity and acceptability of the Governor, despite all their gimmicks, antics and meretricious machinations.

In spite of the thoughts, coordinated opinions and firm resolutions of many, that the Ede-born Senator would take the intricate task of governance with a hand of levity because of his skills in dancing, being his hobby, Governor Adeleke has dazed all and sundry with sterling performance, peace and stability, growth and development, love and admiration, and by extension, all-round satisfaction of people across sectors, organisations, communities, towns and villages in the State.

The Governor has raised the bar of governance in Osun State. He has exposed the political marauders who occupy positions of leadership for selfish benefits. His giant strides in less than four years had surpassed those of his predecessors. His successes during a tenure, if measured, is far more than what his critics and contenders achieved in three terms put together at twelve years! This is an axiom. It is verifiable.

Adeleke’s superlative performance in governance has thrown his enemies’ house in disarray. Their secret lies, propaganda and political abracadabra have been exposed to the electorate, people are wiser and are resolute to vote again, more than that of 2022, the Imole of this generation, Governor Ademola Adeleke for second term in office, come August 15, 2026.

All in all, Governor Ademola Adeleke is shining brighter, day after day as Osun is preparing for the election. His popularity, going by his humanitarian and passionate leadership, will continue to radiate, even beyond Osun State. He has left the indelible footprints on the sand of time and people are determined, never to backwardness and retrogression, but to peace, progress and development epitomized by the incumbent Governor of Osun State.

Osun State with Governor Ademola Adeleke equals forward ever, backward never. Osun will speak again on August 15, and the enemies of the masses will once again, be put to shame. Imole again, and again!
