HON WOLE OKE REFUTES RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLEGED BOYS IN POLICE NET
– IT IS CHARACTER ASSASSINATION, SAYS WOLE OKE
The Lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Òkè has described a publication by Speargist Media, an online newspaper captioned ‘Fallout of Ondo Guber Election: Wole Oke boys in police net’, as a mischievous publication, saying ” I don’t have Political Boys”.
Hon Oke described the allegation as fictitious, libelous and an attempt to drag his reputation to the mud.
The lawmaker, while debunking the allegation said that “none of my political followers was in Ondo during the election, though, we attended the campaign rally just like other state chapters and everybody left the state after the campaign, If they have names of those my boys arrested, they should mention them. It is a blackmail, I don’t breed political thugs, but I empower my people economically on what can benefit their lives. I didn’t send anybody to Ondo State for any kind of political manipulation. I am a trained legal personality and I understand the dictates of law. I don’t involve myself in any political or social inimical acts.”
Nigerian Platform reliably gathered that some PDP Social Media handlers who were arrested on the Election Day have since been released on Sunday.
Hon. Oke stressed that his focus now is how to to make judicious use of the mandate given to him by his people, which he had rolled out for the betterment of the state and particularly his constituents. This, he said could be atttested to by thousands of his people in the constituency.
According to the Federal lawmaker, “We are currently in the second year of our mandate Those who are scared of our political aspirations in the future have reasons to be because they know we are formidable”
He declared that no amount of political blackmailing, intimidation and mischievous publications on the social media can stop him to better the lots of the people of Ijesa North
“I know that the mischievous publication is the hand work of my political detractors. No amount of such feeble publications can deter me to better the lot of my people” .
“Am a foundation member of PDP,
I have leaders and friends who have had reasons to move in and out of a political Party, but I have never . I doubt if I will ever have any reason to desert the House I joined others in building”.
“They are coward, let them come out openly and challenge me. I have determined to lead the party to victory, why are they jittery? I urge them to stop that type of polical bigotry and come out plainly”, he said.
The Legislator stated that the publication is heinously written as an attempt to assassinate his character and malign his good political goodwill.
He urged members of the public to ignore the publication, saying he is a focused and visionary politician who is committed to the service of God and humanity.
