GOODNIGHT TO A LEADER PER EXCELLENCE, CHIEF BAYO AJEIGBE
A former Zonal Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has described the death of Chief Bayo Ajeigbe (Baba Gomina) as a sudden and shocking end of an era in the history of the party in Osun State.
Chief Ajeigbe’s death was announced on Sunday afternoon in less than a day he attended a social function in Ila-Orangun on Saturday, without any sign of illness or weakness.
According to the Ila-Orangun born politician, Rev. Jenyo who x-rayed the leadership qualities and giant strides of the deceased, maintained that his immediate family, the PDP, Osun State and humanity in general will miss the great leader, who dedicated his own life to a selfless service to mankind.
Rev. Jenyo however took solace GOD for a life well-spent, commitment, dexterity and integrity of the deceased which he said would open the gates of Paradise for him at the resurrection day.
“What a shocking and sudden demise of a great leader, elder and father in the Osun PDP. His contribution towards the electoral victory of the Governor-elect, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, progress of Osun State and development of humanity cannot be underestimated” Rev. Jenyo said.
According to him “Our consolation however is in the fact that Baba Gomina lived well and fulfilled, being an exemplary, consistent, dogged and passionate leader and father to all. We will surely and sorely miss him. Adieu, Chief Ajeigbe”.
He prayed for the repose of his soul “may GOD rest his soul until the resurrection morning when we all shall meet to part no more, AMEN “.
