OSUN COMMERCE, INDUSTRY SECTOR CONSOLIDATES GAINS ON INDUSTRIAL SUMMIT, UNVEILS OSUN STATE INVESTMENT ROUNDTABLE IN OCTOBER
The Osun State government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has unveiled the Dinner and Industrial Investment Roundtable, holding on the 7th and 8th October, 2025.
The unveiling which took place on Friday, 1st August 2025 at the Local Government Service Commission welcomed the officers of the Osun State Government, Cabinet members, House of Assembly members, Business Moguls, Corporate Giants, Development Partners, Business Sponsors and other dignitaries to the event.
The investment roundtable is to consolidate on the gains achieved during the Osun State Industrial Investment Summit, held between 10th and 14th September, 2024.
Welcoming the participants, dignitaries and members of the general public in attendance, the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo expressed his delight and satisfaction that the September 2024 Industrial Investment Summit was a huge success.
According to the Commissioner, “today, we gather to consolidate the gains of the 2024 Industrial Investment Summit, a crucial step in our journey to transform Osun State from a civil service-driven economy to an industrialised powerhouse. The State Government led by our amiable and hardworking Governor, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke is fully committed to making Osun a hub of commercial, industrial, and economic activities in Southwest Nigeria and beyond”.
“I have no doubt that this event will offer us further opportunity to map the future of our industrial and economic landscapes with renewed vigour in order to further explore business opportunities that abound in the State and forge investment partnership in various sectors of Osun State”.
“We envision an Osun State, where Industrialisation drives economic growth and we are working tirelessly to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, attract investors, and promote business engagements”.
“Where Local content is valued: Our local content agenda drives focus on infra growth and development, ensuring that our multi-billion naira infrastructure plan benefits the local economy and stops capital flights”.
“Where Youths and Women are empowered: We are implementing initiatives like the Skills Upgrade and Entrepreneurship Development Programme. This was facilitated by the State Government to provide sustainable jobs for youths and women, create wealth and opportunities for our people and prepare them for the demands of a modern economy”.
“Some of the key initiatives the Government has embarked on includes the revitalisation of the Living Spring Free Trade Zone which is expected to provide over 1,000,000 direct and indirect jobs for our people”.
“As a fall out of the Industrial Investment summit, many investors have indicated interest to establish industries in the Zone and the Governor has already approved the allocation of industrial plots to some of the investors”.
“Work is ongoing on their Memorandum of Understanding after which the projects are expected to take off. Construction Works have also started on the Gate and Gate House within the zone and the Administrative Building will be refurbished too”.
“You can all see Osun is really serious about industralisation. Establishment of Farm Produce Aggregation Centres and Farm Settlements: The State Government is supporting the development of the agricultural sector and also promoting agro-industrialisation. Promotion of Digital Transformation: The State Government is also working on the digital economy to connect Osun State to global markets, enhancing online engagements, and attracting investments”.
“The Osun State Dinner and Industrial Investment Roundtable will provide a platform for us to further discuss investment opportunities, share best practices, and explore ways to deepen industrialisation in our state”.
“We expect the Government, Dignitaries, Investors and Stakeholders to deliberate on strategies to drive investment and economic growth”.
