GOVERNOR ADELEKE URGES OSUN RESIDENTS TO USE 2025 TRADE FAIR’S PLATFORM FOR GREATER ADVANCEMENT



Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has urged the people of Osun State to use the opportunities, knowledge and connections obtained at the 2025 Trade Fair to break barriers into the advanced level of business transactions, not only in Nigeria but also across the globe.
The Governor stated this at the closing ceremony of Osun Trade Fair 2025, held at the Aje International Market, Ido-Osun on Tuesday.
Represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi who expressed happiness over the success of the annual event, said that the venue has been alive with the energy of commerce, new partnerships, knowledge sharing and the resilient spirit of the Osun people.
According to the Governor, “I want to reaffirm our State’s dedication to working closely with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Bank of Industry and other relevant agencies to push our local contents to the global stage. These institutions are critical in providing not just funding, but access to investments and markets, technical expertise and policy support that will empower our businesses to scale globally”.
“Let me appreciate the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, Bank of Industry, Industrial Training Fund and the Raw Materials Research and Development Council for their presence at the Fair, their technical sessions and the doors they have helped unlock for our people. Your partnership is the bridge between vision and actualisation”.
“To the Osun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and all supporting staff, your dedication has ensured this Trade Fair ran seamlessly. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to every exhibitor, innovator and participant for making this event a success through your passion and creativity. As we close, let us not see this as the end but the beginning of renewed engagement, greater collaboration and global ambition”.
“I want to use this medium to specially urge all our MSMEs to leverage the opportunities, knowledge, and connections made here. We will stand by you, supporting your efforts and breaking down barriers until Osun products are household names, not just in Nigeria, but around the world”.

Earlier the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Dr. Bunmi Jenyo has commended the exhibitors, traders, organizers and stakeholders who participated in the Osun Trade Fair 2025.
Represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Market Affairs, Chief Mrs Grace Eniola Omotoso, the Commissioner said participants’ dedication had showcased Osun’s rich cultural and economic potential for sustainable growth.
According to the Commissioner, “this year’s Fair reminds us of the vital importance of leveraging on our local resources, talents, and products to attain greater height, further into the global marketplace, thereby boosting our economy and empowering our people”.
“As we draw the curtain on this year’s Trade Fair, I urge everyone to carry forward the momentum. Let us turn the insights gained into tangible actions expanding our markets, strengthening our local contents, and positioning Osun State firmly on the global economic map”.
