The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has felicitated with Osun State former Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Monday, Rev. Jenyo, who appreciated Prince Oyinlola’s strides in nation building, described him as a formidable pillar in the economic, social and political landscape of the South West, Nigeria.

According to the Commissioner, despite his age, Prince Oyinlola remains a factor to reckon with as well as a point of reference for wellness, progress and transformational development of the majority.

“My Oga, is a gifted man of grace whose reputation, antecedent and capacity to rise above challenges have exalted, not only in Nigeria but across the globe”. A large hearted person with great native intelligence, Oga Oyinlola remains an unblemished leader whose words cannot be treated with levity”,the Commissioner said.

“I celebrate an energetic man of vision whose sense of humour and wisdom from above cannot be underestimated. Omooba Oyinlola is indeed an asset that cannot be thrashed”.

“It is your day Oga mi, enjoy it to the fullest. Many more fruitful, happy, healthy and prosperous years in the land of the living, AMEN”.

The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has celebrated the spokesperson to the State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed on the occasion of his 60th birthday anniversary.

According to the Commissioner, MOR as fondly called, is a Media guru, who has demonstrated loyalty, professionalism and integrity to the administration of the performing Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

“Your commitment, energy and dexterity at which you handle your prestigious office is second to none and has contributed immensely to the success story of Governor Adeleke’s administration, especially in the area of information dissemination and public engagement”, the Commissioner stated.

According to him “looking back, your heart must be filled with joy and gratitude to your Creator who has seen you through to this stage. It had been six decades of fulfillment, bliss and impactful contributions to society and humanity in general, despite occasional intrusion of cloudy moments from which one garner experiences to navigate life’s voyage”.

“As a serving and competent spokesperson to the most outstanding Governor in Nigeria, your services over time and in recent times had not only benefited Osun State alone but also humanity in general”.

The latest leg of the campaign on Sunday January 26 saw the PDP train rolled into Iperin Eyindi ward 7, Ila LGA, where it met overwhelming enthusiasts and supporters who mobilized the eager electorates and party loyalists.

The Hon. Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo extended his regards to the leaders, praising them for their contributions to the party’s growth and development.

Addressing the crowd, Rev. Jenyo urged the residents of ward 7 and Ila Local Government generally to turn out en-masse to vote on Saturday, 22nd of February 2025 and secure all the polling units across the communities for the PDP candidates; (both chairmanship and Councillorship) emphasizing the importance of the community support.

Notably, key leaders have been instrumental in receiving the party faithfuls and well wishers of the PDP candidates across the wards.

Rev. Bunmi Jenyo also emphasized the importance of voters’ turnout, urging residents to come out in large numbers on Saturday 22nd of february. “This election is an opportunity for the community to choose leaders who are not just by titles on a ballot but are known entities committed to local development. The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has poured out encomiums for the first executive Governor of the State, Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke (Serubawon), on the occasion of his 70th posthumous birthday anniversary.

The Commissioner who described the late Asiwaju of Edeland as the father of modern politics in Osun State, also noted that he was a philanthropist per excellence.

According to the Commissioner, “the first democratically elected Governor of Osun State, Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke was an unrivaled father of modern politics in the state, a philanthropist per excellence and a leader of leaders”.

“Serubawon was a political figure whose antecedent and reputation speak in volume. His stints of service to humanity across the board, not only in Osun but also across the globe cannot be underestimated”.

“I join millions of like-minded individuals to celebrate a father figure, a pragmatic helper of destinies and a strong pillar of modern democracy, who lived his life for the betterment of mankind”.

The Commissioner prayed that Serubawon’s impactful years on earth be multiplied as Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke is building meritoriously on the legacy he left behind.

“At this occasion of his 70th posthumous birthday anniversary, may GOD Almighty continue to rest his soul in Paradise. And may his legacies continue to thrive as Governor Ademola Adeleke is consolidating on the strong foundation for peace, progress and transformational development in Osun State”, he said.

2025: REV. BUNMI JENYO SALUTES OSUN PEOPLE, AS IMOLE FREE TRAIN RIDE RETURNS TO LAGOS

The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has congratulated all the citizens, on the occasion of the new year 2025 celebration, as Imole Free Train Ride returned passengers back to Lagos.

This was contained in a statement by the Commissioner, while bidding the passengers of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Free Train Ride farewell back to Lagos, after eventful Christmas and new year celebrations, in Osogbo on Thursday.

The Commissioner who lauded the giant strides of the State Governor, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, stressed that Osun people are lucky in the comity of Nigerian States to have an outstanding performer as the Chief Executive, in the person of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The Commissioner also emphasized that the citizens who visited Osun during the festivities would have seen for themselves, the unrivaled developmental changes of Governor Adeleke within the length and breadth of the State.

He also stressed that Governor Adeleke has left no stone unturned in transforming Osun to an industrialised, cohesive and prosperous State, hence the peaceful and joyful atmosphere pervading the nooks and crannies of the State.

According to the Commissioner, “with the midas touch of His Excellency, Osun can now stand shoulder to shoulder with industrialised States, not only in Nigeria but also across the globe. The majority of the Osun people are happy because of the outstanding and humanitarian performance of the Asiwaju of Edeland, Sen. Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke”.

The entire community of Ila-Orangun, Ila Local Government area of Osun State went into a wild jubilation on Thursday Boxing Day 2024, as the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo spreads the love of CHRIST among his people.

The elaborate Christmas party held at Rev. Jenyo’s Adekunle countryhome, organised to mark 2024 Boxing Day was attended by friends from far and near as well as political class in the ancient town.

Even though the joy of yuletide was evident as party men and women, friends and admirers thronged his residence, the Commissioner excited the crowd with announcements of varying cash gifts to the people, especially political class across the town.

According to the Commissioner, the sacrificial love brought by the LORD JESUS CHRIST must be exemplified by making the people happy with pleasant surprises.

“This is not the first time, it has become my tradition to make people happy, build the party and enhance the welfare of the people. Ours is not a politics of bitterness but that of benefits and democracy dividends”, the Commissioner said.

“I have paid my price, no matter the amount of lies, hatred and other fabrication people spread about me. And I will continue to contribute my quota at all times and give my best to advance the course of humanity, not only here in my hometown but in Osun State, Nigeria and beyond”, he said.

Recall that in his giant strides to support the masses in his community, Rev. Jenyo has 58 political aides on his monthly payroll. He also empowered the vulnerable with cash stipends from time to time.

Party members smiled home with cash to be shared in each of the eleven wards including Local Executives, Ward Chairmen, Ward Women Leaders, Ward Youth Leaders, Ward Vice Chairmen and Ward Secretaries received their cash gifts separately.

The financial support was aimed at bringing relief to families and enabled people across the nooks and crannies of the community to celebrate the festive period with love, joy and dignity.

The beneficiaries of the magnanimity of the Honourable Commissioner thanked GOD and appreciated him for providing succour to his people, to ease their affairs in the face of harsh economic realities in Nigeria.

Adeleke vows to support Oyo State on AFCFTA Sub-National implementation strategy

ADELEKE VOWS TO SUPPORT OYO STATE ON AFCFTA SUB-NATIONAL IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY

Osun State Government under the leadership of Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has vowed to support its Oyo State counterpart on the development of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA) Sub-National implementation strategy.

This was contained in a goodwill message by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo at the AFCFTA consultative forum held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan on Wednesday.

One of the important objectives of the AFCFTA is to create a single market that will help facilitate the free movement of persons, goods, services and investments.

The Commissioner said, “according to the AFCFTA factsheet, with a combined GDP of an estimated US$3.4 trillion, the pact links 1.3 billion people living in different parts of the continent, it promises to turn Africa into a modern, industrialised, cohesive and influential player on the global stage”.

The Commissioner who expressed his delight applauded the government of Oyo State led by Engnr. Seyi Makinde for deeming it fit to put the consultative forum together at this critical point of our economic existence.

“This consultative forum is important and is coming up at a time that Nigeria and South Western States are looking at various ways to diversify their economies to the non–oil sector”, he said.

The Commissioner also assured the government and people of Oyo State of Governor Adeleke’s readiness to give total support to fulfill the objectives of the AFCFTA project in Oyo State, which was centred around the benefits derivable from AFCFTA.

Iba Day 2024: Eburu to host Adeleke, Obaaro, Daramola, others

IBA DAY 2024: EBURU TO HOST ADELEKE, OBAARO, DARAMOLA, OTHERS

The people of Iba in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State will on Saturday, 28th December, 2024 converge on the town for the 2024 Iba Day celebration.

The annual ceremony is expected to bring together Indigenes, residents and lovers of Iba community from across the world.

The event which holds at the market square, Iba is expected to have eminent personalities and leaders of thought from all walks of life in attendance.

The royal father of the day who is also the Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji 11 will receive the royal fathers from both within and outside the state.

According to a statement issued by the 2024 Iba day planning committee, the ceremony will start by 10am with the Obaaro of Kaba in Kogi State, Oba Solomon Owoniyi as the royal father of the day.

The statement indicates that the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke will be the special guest of honour, while the Chief Executive Officer of Interfem reconstruction company, Osogbo, Engr Femi Daramola is the chief launcher at the event.

The Akogun of Iba, Alhaji (Chief) Ganiyu Adebimpe and Alhaji Ibrahim Ponnle together with Alhaji Jimoh Odeleye are the hosts at the event.

Iba Day celebration, which is an event put together by the Iba Descendants Union (IDU) under the auspices of the Eburu-in-Council is celebrated annually in Iba.

At this year’s celebration, there will be a #500 Million development fund for the development of the ancient town and well-meaning individuals are expected to donate generously for the development of the town.
