AMMBAN FELICITATES WITH OSUN COMMISSIONER FOR COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, REV. BUNMI JENYO ON HIS BIRTHDAY

Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria (AMMBAN), Osun State Chapter has felicitated with the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo on the auspicious celebration of his birthday.

This was contained in a statement signed by the State Chairman of the association, Badru Asimiyu Olawale in Osogbo on Tuesday.

AMMBAN noted that the Commissioner is a very pragmatic and action-packed political and social-economic personality who has brought his vast knowledge and experience in business management to bear in the Ministry.

The association, which is the umbrella body for all POS Operators, financial inclusion and digital economic agents in the state, recognised various impacts and interventions of the Honourable Commissioner on the ease of doing business and industrial development in Osun State within the short period in office.

AMMBAN recalls the efforts of the Commissioner on resuscitation of the Industrial Development Centre, Upgrading of Machine Tools, Construction of Tourism Airport, Nano/SME Grants to businesses, Harmonisation and Automation of Taxes and Levies, etc.

The association appreciate and congratulate Rev. Jenyo on the attainment of this great age and pray for more elevation and anointing from the above, long life, good health and more prosperity.

GOVERNOR ADELEKE CELEBRATES REV. JENYO ON BIRTHDAY

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has rejoiced with the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo, on the auspicious occasion of his birthday, extolling him as a dependable hand in the delivery of good governance.

Governor Adeleke applauds Rev. Jenyo for finesse and tenacity of purpose that are manifest in any assigned role, acknowledging the experience and dedication that the celebrant radiates in his cabinet.

This was contained in a statement by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed in Osogbo on Tuesday.

While celebrating Rev. Jenyo as an exceptional administrator who has taken bold initiatives to widen the horizon of economic activities in the state, Governor Adeleke salutes the former Secretary of Southwest PDP for his passionate commitment to the progress of Osun state.

“I celebrate Reverend Bunmi Jenyo, the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, as he marks a new age. This moment calls for not just celebration of Rev. Jenyo’s outstanding values but also the recognition of his contributions to the society,” the statement noted.

Governor Adeleke thanks Rev. Jenyo for his sacrifices and efforts in shaping the Osun PDP over the years, noting that “I have deep admiration for Rev. Jenyo’s energy and focus in delivering on the mandate of his office.”

The Governor wishes him more celebrations while praying for continuous good health and sound mind to contribute more to the betterment of our society.

REV. BUNMI JENYO CONDOLES WITH YEYE MODUPE ADELEKE-SANNI ON HUSBAND’S DEATH

Osun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has expressed shock and sadness over the death of Alhaji Tohir Aderemi Sanni, husband of our own mother, Yeyeluwa Modupe Adeleke-Sanni.

In a release made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Sunday, Rev. Jenyo described the deceased as a generous, fair and loyal man during his lifetime.

According to the Commissioner, “Alhaji Sanni was a humble, simple and humane person whose whole life was committed to the service of GOD and humanity in general”.

“I commiserate with our own Yeyeluwa, it is indeed a bitter pill to swallow but our consolation is in the fact that he lived well and left the indelible footprints on the sand of time”, he said.

He admonished all to continue to pray for Yeyeluwa Modupe and the entire family he left behind in this period of grief and sorrow.

“Who are we to question GOD? He giveth and taketh. May GOD grant him eternal life in Paradise and give Yeyeluwa, his children and all of us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, Amen”, the Commissioner said.

ADELEKE’S ADMINISTRATION IS POISED TO INDUSTRIALIZE OSUN STATE

The present administration in Osun State, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke is putting in place necessary measures to turn around the industrial activities of the State.

The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo made the assertion while receiving members of STM Cashew Producers, Processors and Exporters Nigeria Limited in his office, recently.

The Chairman of the association, Mr Simeon Fasami said the purpose of the visit was to seek Government support and recognition of the association, as their aim is to develop and elevate the industrial strength of Osun State.

Mr Fasami, while stressing the economic benefits of cashew processing in the state said, it will contribute significantly to the economy of Osun as a state and provide solution to the issue of unemployment ravaging Nigeria at this time.

The Secretary of the association, Mr Timothy Olayode while appreciating the Commissioner for the opportunity given to them, commended Governor Adeleke’s industrial drive to change the narrative of the state from being a civil-servant state to an industrialized one.

While responding, the Commissioner appreciated the team, describing their visit as timely now that a new cashew processing company will soon be unveiled by the Nigerian Machine Tools Limited (NMTL), Osogbo.

Rev. Jenyo assured them of maximum support from the state government as the Governor is on the move to industrialize the State and make life easier for the people.

He enjoined them to cooperate with Governor Adeleke to ensure the growth and development of more industries in the state, in no distant future.

The Osun State government under Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has concluded arrangements with the A1 Pinnacle Services Ltd to commission C-Crescendo Sport Lounge in Osogbo, the State Capital.

This was disclosed by the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, who was on a final inspection tour to the relaxation centre, located at Alekuwodo area, in the heart of the State Capital.

C-Crescendo Sport Lounge with a fascinating football pitch, is also into Event Management, Lounge and relaxation spot.

While speaking, the Commissioner explained that the collaboration of the State Government with the A1 Pinnacle Services Ltd, was one of the many targets of the current administration to Industrialize the State.

According to Rev. Jenyo, the partnership will create employment opportunities, relaxation to the working class as well as boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the State.

“By GOD’s grace and with the level of progress made, concerning the desirable infrastructure in place, this place put up by A1 Pinnacle Services Ltd, will be commissioned in a week’s time”, the Commissioner said.

The Commissioner was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Kehinde Odediran and Director of Commerce, Mrs. Bola Obiremi.

In his relentless efforts to turn around the economic standing of Osun State to be more viable, robust and globally acceptable, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has restated his readiness to identify, harness and support industries within the State.

Nigeria Machine Tools Limited, a world-class engineering services and equipment manufacturing organization has been described as an important stakeholder in this revolution.

The State Governor further disclosed his readiness to partner with Nigerian Machine Tools Limited ( NMTL) for industrial and agricultural development in all the aspects of the Osun economy.

This was made known by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo during a working visit to Nigeria Machine Tools Limited, Osogbo on Tuesday.

Rev. Jenyo stated that the aim of the present administration is to industrialize Osun and improve the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the State.

Nigeria Machine Tools Limited offers a range of activities, which include engineering services, component manufacturing (Reverse Engineering), Foundry, Fabrication of Metal works and supply of Agro-Allied implements such as Tractors and other equipment like Harrow, Plough and Ridger).
The company employed over 75% of Osun indigenes in its workforce presently.

According to the Commissioner, Osun State is collaborating with the NMTL to provide tractors for farmers, Cooperative Groups, Local Government Areas, as well as acquisition of industrial skills to the citizens of Osun State.

The visitation was extended to various sections of the company, among which were agricultural equipment fabrication unit, Tractor assembly plants, bolts and promotion unit, industrial training skills acquistiion centre, cashew processing factory, among others.

The Commissioner also discussed how to collaborate and actualize the government’s vision to boost agricultural activities in the state, hence, increase food production.

The management of NMTL was well-represented and led by the Head, Sales and Marketing, Mr. Olufemi Osoko while the Commissioner was accompanied by the management team of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, led by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Kehinde Odediran.
