PDP Zonal Secretary welcomes returnees in Osun

PDP SOUTH WEST SECRETARY WELCOMES SDP RETURNEES

The secretary of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has welcomed members of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) back into the fold.

The SDP members led by its Chairman in the 2019/2019 general election in Osun State, Dr. Bayo Faforiji officially received PDP flag on Tuesday May 12, from the acting Chairman of the party, Elder Sunday Akanfe (Atidade). Dr. Faforiji has subsequently directed all his members to join the PDP as active members henceforth.

Recall that Dr. Faforiji, who originally defected from the PDP to the SDP in the run-up to Osun 2018 governorship election, has led a political structure known as “Kosemani movement” which almost tore the erstwhile SDP apart.

In a Press release obtained by Nigeran Platform, the PDP Zonal Secretary congratulated Dr. Faforiji and all his followers across all the local governments in the state for a successful coming-back home to their original political platform.

Rev. Bunmi Jenyo also charged all PDP members from ward to state level to be accommodating to their brothers and sisters, who are now returning to their original homes from the defunct SDP.

“It is now time for consolidation, hospitality and encouragement of all our lost members, who are now returning to to our great party (PDP), as led by a great leader of men with exemplary political acumen, Dr. Bayo Faforiji of the defunct SDP” Rev. Jenyo said.

Kosemani movement dissolved into the PDP despite the Coronavirus pandemic saying “this became necessary because nobody knows the duration of the Covid-19 lockdown period and there is the need to take care of the interest of the generality of our members”
“Our agreement today (Tuesday) is that our members should approach their ward secretaries for registration” Dr. Faforiji has said.

Dr. Bayo Faforiji was a former state commissioner and two-term Chairman of Atakumosa East local government of Osun State.

OSUN PDP! THE CULPABILITY OF CHIEF OLU ALABI AS A MOLE – 08/05/2020

OSUN PDP! THE CULPABILITY OF CHIEF OLU ALABI AS A MOLE – 08/05/2020

Nobody, within the political landscape of Osun State, doubts the veracity of the fact that it is presently needless to bicker like a hopeless loser, over a political itinerary that makes provision for hierarchy, which is capable of making a decision or reaching a conclusion in the interest of the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state of the living spring, solely on the interest of the party.

The order by the PDP National Working Committee that the erstwhile Chairman in Osun State Chapter of the party, Hon. Soji Adagunodo to step aside pending the investigation and determination of allegations of malfeasance, antiparty and misappropriation of funds levelled against him, is still leaving some scars on the party, as a BoT member from the state, Chief Olu Alabi has proven to be a saboteur and a clog in the wheels of the progress of the party, by his unguided utterances to some officers of PDP at different levels.

It is explicitly clear, in accordance with the PDP constitution that there must not be a vacuum in the administration of party affairs, especially at the level of State Chairmanship, as in the current case of Osun State. Therefore, the immediate appointment of Elder Sunday Olatunde Akanfe (Atidade) in acting capacity is no doubt, a round peg in a round hole, it is indeed in tandem with the world’s acceptable standards.

But unfortunately, to some black legs, green snakes and gluttonous PDP elder(s) acclaimed ably represented by Chief Olu Alabi in a politically sponsored interview with the Nigerian Tribune Newspapers, on 4th of May, 2020, the relative peace and progress of the opposition party must not be maintained, but rather be jeopardized.

Though members, leaders and other critical stakeholders did not fold their arms. Chief Olu Alabi’s position is not unconnected with his selfish, perfidious and treacherous rapport with the current All Progressives Congress (APC) government in Osun State. A sort of political ‘leader’ like Chief Olu Alabi, who has jettisoned the future of the posterity in a complete compromise for a pot of porridge in the hands of the ruling APC. So shameful that the old man can be dancing naked in the market square!

Dr. Olu Alabi’s single vote on the Election Day was for either APC or PDP because he could not be trusted by the words of his mouth, following his critical steps, activities and body language as a destroyer within the Osun PDP. Truly, there is freedom of association as spelt out in Nigeria’s constitution, which makes individual to choose between A or B or vice versa, as the case may be, but as an old man that he is, he should be able to stand on his tentacles wherever he is, as a man. Recall that PDP lost gallantly in Chief Alabi’s polling unit, ward and Olorunda local government that he hails from during 2018/2019 general elections.

Sadly, at the old age capable to be an elder stateman which Chief Alabi unconditionally falls into, the gluttonous and destructive tendencies in him have snuffed decency, courtesy and integrity out of his life. Thus remaining in him lies, tricks, antics and intrigues of a political jobber who has already missed his road in its entirety.

As it stands today, Chief Olu Alabi is a mole in Osun PDP. He is and represents the interest of the ruling government within the PDP, with a view to contribute his quota to the second term agenda of the incumbent governor of Osun State, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola. He hosts, works and receives gifts from the government of Osun State at intervals.

Little wonder why Dr. Olu Alabi deliberately invited governor Gboyega Oyetola to grace his last birthday celebration in his abode. The latter who snatched at the occasion to lavish unspeakable gifts on the former, obviously in appreciation to Chief Alabi over the 2018 governorship election and till today.

You can imagine the highest degree of disloyalty, lack of integrity and failure on the part of Chief Olu Alabi, insinuating that himself and his ghost allies were present with the governor of Oyo State, Eng. Seyi Makinde while the zoning of slots of South West Zonal Executive Committee, was done.
It is a lie from the pit of hell. How can a new entrant into the PDP BoT claim to be in attendance in the zoning of position when actually, the incumbent National Vice Chairman (South West), Dr. Eddy Olafeso was not even there.

Dr. Olu Alabi has indeed bitten more than he can chew, considering his nocturnal roles he is playing in fueling the politically masterminded crisis rocking the Osun PDP.

It is most laughable, ridiculous and absolutely unthinking that Chief Alabi is also insinuating that the PDP National Vice Chairman. Eddy Olafeso was no longer interested in running the governorship race of Ondo State. When actually, the lying old man, Chief Alabi was neither in discussion nor told by anyone that Dr. Olafeso is no more running. In fact, Dr. Olafeso is very much in the governorship election race of his State as we speak. This is a height of irresponsibility, insubordination and recklessness on the part of Chief Olu Alabi.

It is also wild, perfidious and forgetful of Chief Olu Alabi, who now turn against the general will of PDP leaders in Osun, South West and National, including Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, to castigate the latter over spurious, unfounded and watery allegations of connivance to remove Hon. Soji Adagunodo from office. Chief Olu Alabi is definitely on his own as reputable, reasonable and respected leaders such as Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chief Ebenezer Babatope and others have denied having knowledge about Chief Alabi’s view concerning Osun PDP. They all washed their hands very clean, pointing to the fact that Chief Alabi remains a chronic liar at this his old age, sad….indeed very sad.

As a matter of fact, Chief Olu Alabi was the highest beneficiary of the office of the Zonal Secretary, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo who singlehandedly suggested, processed and ensured that Chief Alabi became one of the members of PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), when the opportunity arises, the political post he had jealously desired since his birth into the political history of Osun State.

Not only as beneficiary of BoT membership did he (Olu Alabi) freely enjoy in Rev. Jenyo’s largesse as the Zonal Secretary, sometimes ago when his own son wanted to kill him in his Abuja residence, apparently because of his characteristic dubiousness, it was the same Rev. Bunmi Jenyo that GOD used to provide Police protection for Chief Olu Alabi, for countless months to save his life.

Also in the purported Nigerian Tibune interview, Chief Olu Alabi mentioned that the office of the Zonal Secretary was being used for the Adeleke Family of Ede, forgetting that the post is to salvage the interest of all PDP members in the six States of Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun and Ekiti. As the Zonal Secretary of South West PDP, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo is guided by the party’s constitution and allowed to work hand in hand with other Zonal Executives for the progress of the in party in the entire Yorubaland.

Only recently, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo took Chief Olu Alabi’s letter to Abuja for the inclusion of his name in the PDP BoT list. Does it mean that anyone who is not working directly for Chief Alabi’s parochial interest must be crucified? The scenario in question of the contents of his interview in Nigerian Tribune clearly portray Chief Alabi as a selfish glutton, a backbiting extremist and a disgrace to adulthood in the political landscape of Osun State.

The Osun State PDP Working Committee (SWC), State Executives & all the local government Chairmen under the Chairmanship (in acting capacity) of Elder Sunday Akanfe has begun work in earnest, to the progress and development of Osun PDP, so Dr. Olu Alabi should go and bury his head in shame over his reckless, lying and unguided comments in the Nigerian Tribune Newspapers.

The Otutubiosun II said “those who had such mindsets to better the lots of their people in such a magnanimous manner are rare”. He said the people of his town (Ido-Ile Ekiti) will remain grateful for the generousity of the Foundation, over the time.

Oba Obaleye also charged the Foundation to continue to uplift the well-being and development of the communities in the area, praying “Almighty God will continue to bless and provide for you as you have deemed it necessary to contribute your own quota towards the betterment and upliftment of your people “, Oba Obaleye said.

The Okada riders, artisans, the Iyalojas and the people in the communities, who trooped out massively to receive the free masks enjoined the Foundation to continue their selfless service.
