The Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof) Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji 11 has commiserated with the Akintayo’s family of Eesa’s compound, Iba over the death of the matriach of the family, mama Victoria Akintayo.
This was stated in a statement made available to Nigerian Platform in Osogbo, by the Monarch’s Chief Press Secretary, Bamigbola Gbolagunte on Wednesday.
The monarch lauded the godly life lived by the deceased, saying that the late matriach of the Akintayo’s dynasty dedicated her entire life to the service of God and mankind.
Describing the deceased as a committed and passionate lover of her community, Oba Okunoye said the good life she lived was exemplified in the lives of her biological children.
While symphatizing with the family of the deceased, the monarch urged them to take solace in the good life she lived while on earth, believing that she’s already resting with her creator.
Oba Okunoye urged the children to take heart in this moment of their mourning, as mama is already with her Lord, whom she served throughout her sojourn on earth.
He prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest, even as he asked God to grant the children the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
