BUNMI JENYO RETURNS GLORY TO GOD, APPLAUDS STAFF FOR THEIR STEADFASTNESS
Monday 24th August, 2026 remains a remarkable day as the Management and Staff of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry led by the Honourable Commissioner, Rev. Dr. Bunmi Jenyo gathered to give glory to GOD over the electoral victory and re-election of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for second term in office.
The Conference Hall of the Ministry was filled with shouts of joy, dancing and undiluted gratitude to GOD from enthusiastic members of staff who could not hide their joyous feeling over the outcome of the August 15th governorship election in Osun State.
Osun 2026 election was keenly contested and won by the incumbent, Governor Ademola Adeleke who defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), despite harassment, intimidation and threatening circumstances.
While speaking, the Commissioner who was listed to be arrested and detained, was grateful to GOD who protected him, family and all staff members before, during and after the election.
He also appreciated the civil servants, not only in his Ministry but also across the State, for standing tall and firm on their choice, regardless of inducement, threats and physical harassment of the opposition APC.
He saluted the courage of every well-meaning Osun people for coming out in large numbers to exercise their franchise and protected their votes against any manipulation or ballot box snatching.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement as all the Political appointees attached to the Ministry, delivered their goodwill messages.
The victory celebration party was rounded off by prayers for the Governor-Elect, Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, Osun State, the Honourable Commissioner, the Management and Staff of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
In attendance were the Special Adviser to the Governor on Market Affairs, Chief Mrs Grace Eniola Omotoso, SSAs to the Governor on Commerce and Industry and Chambers of Commerce, Hon. Isa Adeyemi and Hon. Wasiu Ogundokun.
Others are the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr. R. A. Oyelowo, members of the management, staff and corp members.
