CREDICORP EMPOWERS 300,000 NIGERIANS IN TWO YEARS
The Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) has empowered no fewer than 300,000 Nigerians in the last two years.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CREDICORP, Mr Uzoma Nwagba disclosed this at an empowerment programme organized in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
He hinted that arrangements are underway to empower more Nigerians through soft and revolving loans and provision of working tools among other initiatives.
At the ceremony, tricycles were presented to individuals who benefited from the empowerment programme of the agency in Osun State.
Speaking, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi has declared that the intention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to end poverty in the country will soon be materialized with the various programmes and policies put in place by the Federal Government to alleviate poverty.
The monarch said the economic policies of the Tinubu’s administration are already yielding good results.
He disclosed that the intention of President Tinubu is to put an end to poverty among Nigerians, adding that the steps taken so far by the President has revitalized the nation’s economy.
Oba Ogunwusi therefore called on Nigerians to support the President’s drive to improve the economy and strengthen the nation’s industrialization also.
He assured that the policies and programmes initiated by the current administration are aimed at boosting the nation’s economy, adding that Nigeria will soon grow in all areas especially economy as a result of the government’s policies.
Also, the first class monarch informed that President Tinubu is determined to improve the nation’s micro economy by encouraging Small and Medium Scale Business owners through various policies and programmes.
