A national christian coalition, the Missionaries and Pastors Organisation (MPO) has charged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure free and fair election in the Osun governorship election, tasking the president to truly act as the father of all.

Speaking at a prayer session and courtesy visit by the coalition comprising of pastors, clerics and prophets of God today at the Government House, the National President of the MPO, Prophet Emmanuel Stephen told the President to show direct interest in Osun guber election, warning that violence and election rigging should never be allowed.

“We call on President Bola Tinubu to act to save democracy. Osun is a test case for this democracy. Mr President should instruct stakeholders to allow the will of the people to prevail. This is the way for the President to show the whole world that he is truly the father of all.

“Democracy is about the right of the people to vote and be voted for. It is not about violence. We condemn political violence, people should be free to decide who they want as their leader”, the national.president posited.

Both the National President and the Osun State coordinator also conveyed its unanimous adoption of Governor Adeleke for re-election during the August 15 election.

According to the state coordinator, Pastor Moses Oyediran, the decision was taken by all its 30 local government chapters after reviewing the performance of the governor in office in the last four or so years.

“After wide consultation, and seeing what God has used Governor Adeleke to deliver in Osun state, we have deemed it fit that the only option is to have continuity of light in Osun state.

“We as an organisation have decided to support this light to continue. As a result, we will support in prayers, mobilise people and vote for the governor for his second term in office.

“We hereby declare today that we have endorsed Mr Governor for his second term in office. Light will continue to spread across Osun state”, the state coordinator stated.

Governor Adeleke in his response expressed appreciation to the clerics for their faith and trust in him, promising not to let them down.

“I thank you for endorsing light. I will deliver more in my second term by God’s grace”, the governor promised.

The clerics later prayed for peace and victory before, during and after the election.

BUNMI JENYO CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR ADELEKE, ACCORD OVER APPEAL COURT’S RULING

The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Dr. Bunmi Jenyo has congratulated the Executive Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and its party, Accord over a landslide victory at the Court of Appeal against deregistration.

This was contained in a special message by the Commissioner, which was made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Tuesday.

Recall that some enemies of democracy have been clamouring and sponsoring tireless efforts to deregister Accord, African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other parties, to have unopposed election into power through the back door.

The Commissioner who returned the Glory to GOD for being a strong pillar of Governor Adeleke against the agents of darkness, maintained that the setting aside of the purported deregistration by the Appeal Court is a victory for democracy.

He congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke, leaders and members of Accord in Osun State and Nigeria as a whole, saying every lover of democracy in the country should be happy and be rest assured of egalitarian society, in no distant future.

He frowned at the insensitive mentality of some APC stalwarts in Osun State, insinuating that the Accord would not be on the ballot, regarding August 15 gubernatorial poll, saying publicly that the unpopular party would face an empty goal-post.

The Commissioner also congratulated the entire people of Osun State, because their choiced party, Accord is firmly the first political platform on the ballot, come August 15 2026.

“I heartily congratulate my Principal, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the leadership and members of Accord, and the entire citizens of Osun State on this landmark judgment of the Appeal Court today”, the Commissioner said.

“It has laid to rest the controversy, anxiety and fear of our people regarding the August 15 governorship in Osun State. Accord is on the ballot. Accord will win the forthcoming polls in Osun State convincingly”, he said.

The Commissioner who lauded the Ila-Orangun community residents for trooping out to welcome Governor Adeleke, applauded the current administration for effective delivery of democracy dividends to the people of Osun State.

He particularly applauded Governor Adeleke for fulfilling the seemingly impossible promise of Ila-Orangun Township Road Dualisation project. According to the Commissioner, naysayers believed it was not going to be realised.

I HAVE PROVEN MY LOVE FOR IWO, SAYS ADELEKE

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has reiterated his committed to the development of Iwo, noting that the construction of the first ever dual-carriageway in the ancient town is a manifestation of his deep love for Iwo town.

Governor Adeleke said his administration has changed the story of Iwo unlike the deceit that characterised the past under his predecessors, saying that the newly constructed dual carriageway will open up Iwo for genuine development.

“In the past, Iwo had suffered neglect. These great people were abandoned by many past leaders,” Governor Adeleke noted, adding that “Our administration changed that story. We stopped the fake saying of ‘Iwo is my second city’. We opened up this city for genuine development.

“In the beginning, some people doubted our sincerity. They thought we were playing politics when we announced the dualisation project.

“Today, we prove that we truly love Iwo people. Iwo City Centre and Palace Square are now redesigned and reconstructed. This multi-focussed dualisation project is concluded to the glory of God and man.”

Governor Adeleke said his opponents deliberately instigated the unlawful seizure of local governments fund to disrupt the developmental projects embarked upon across the state by his administration, maintaining that his government’s sole goal is to fast-track Osun development notwithstanding obstacles placed on its way.

“The opposition was shocked by our commitment to the development of Iwo and other cities and towns in Osun state. That was the reason they invented the local government crisis to financially strangulate us,” he said.

“Despite these anti-people, anti-development actions, we completed many mega-projects for Iwo, Ila Orangun, Ile Ife, Ilesa, Osogbo, Ede and several towns in Osun state. We broke the chains of under-development.

“The sole goal of our leadership is to fast track Osun development through life changing projects and programmes. We are doing this on the basis of fairness to all, better life for Osun people and collective prosperity for residents and sons and daughters of our dear state.

“We are committed to taking this vision further. We are determined to commence the second phase of the project once we are re-elected on August 15. We need your continuous support and backing for more transformation to take place. Iwo city and Osun state in general should never go back to slavery and deceitful governance” concluded the Governor.

I FULFILLED MY PROMISES ON UNIVERSITY OF ILESA – GOV. ADELEKE

● COMMISSIONS LANDMARK PROJECTS

Governor Ademola Adeleke today commissioned six different projects at the University of Ilesa, declaring that he has fulfilled his electoral promises on the actualisation of the University.

Speaking at the university campus amidst massive welcome rally by students and staff, the governor said “within such a short period, I am proud that the University has taken its rightful place within the Nigerian university system. Our baby is growing to become an adult”

The governor spoke further: “To our royal fathers and the entire Ijesa sons and daughters, I have fulfilled my pledge to make this university a reality. Your dream, our dream, is now a reality that nobody can play politics with.

“From audio pronouncement by the previous administration, our government enacted a state law establishing the university, providing a framework for its governance. We secured accreditation of several courses.

“With strong political will, we appoint world class administrators to man the university. We oversee a smooth transition from the defunct Osun State College of Education, Ilesa to a University without any negative effect on staff.

“We implemented the conversion of all temporary/contract staff of the defunct College to permanent and pensionable staff. We paid all outstanding allowances owed by the Management of the defunct College. We approved and implemented new university salary structures, including payment of arrears. We ensured payment of half salaries owed to workers in Osun State as well as the release of withheld cooperative and other deductions.

“As a government committed to workers’ welfare, we implemented regular promotion of staff with financial backing. Aside approval of implementation of the new salary scale for academic staff, similar approval will soon be extended to non-teaching staff once the financial status of the state improves.

“Despite the financial challenges of the last two years, we are also upgrading the physical infrastructures within the university. Today’s gathering is a manifestation of our commitment to upgrade this university in terms of its internal facilities and academic infrastructures”, the governor told a cheering crowd of the University community.

Welcoming the governor, the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi and other top administration and party officials, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Olufemi Ashaolu expressed gratitude to the governor for his commitment for the actualisation of the University, declaring that “in just 3 years, UNILESA has grown from a vision to a thriving academic community of 12 Faculties, one College of Health Sciences, 110 Academic Programmes, and over 15,000 students.

“This remarkable growth has positively impacted the socio- economic fortunes of our host communities and Osun State at large. This would not have been possible without your visionary leadership, consistent funding, and personal commitment to make UNILESA a centre of excellence.

Prof Ashaolu noted that the projects for commissioning by the governor include the remodeled Faculty of Law Annex Building, the remodeled Faculty of Public Health building, reconstructed Internal road network, the new hostel buildings, the female medical hostel; and the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences.

The governor later commissioned the projects in company of the chairman of Imole Campaign Council, Prof Wale Oladipo; the Director General of the Campaign, Senator Lere Oyewumi; General Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi; Accord Senatorial candidate for Osun East, Hon Ibukun Fadipe IBK; members of the State Executive Council, special advisers and others.

REJECT MONETARY INDUCEMENTS FOR YOUR VOTERS CARDS – GOV ADELEKE TO OSUN VOTERS

● WARNS AGAINST COMPROMISING VOTERS REGISTERS

Governor Ademola Adeleke has raised alarm over an ongoing coordinated, illegal operation by the Osun APC to buy up voters’ voting cards and extract pin numbers from the cards to disenfranchise voters on August 15.

In a statement on Thursday morning, the governor warned against what he called illegal and anti-democratic activities that are targeted at compromising the voters registers, electronically disenfranchising voters and manipulating the outcome of August 15 polls, calling the attention of the electoral commission to the untoward development.

Citing multiple reports from across the 30 local governments and Area Office, the governor accused the Osun APC and its agents of monetarily inducing the public to part with their voters’ cards with intent to disenfranchise such voters and warned members of the public to protect and never part with their voters cards.

The state governor noted further that APC agents are extracting the pin numbers on the voters cards through offering of monetary rewards and warned that the operation is targeting local governments with huge followership of the Accord Party.

The plot is to ensure massive dislocation of registered voters from their place of registration such as from one town to the other and thereby making it impossible for such voters to vote on the day of election

In some other local governments, the APC agents insisted on the voters swearing an oath to take inducement to secure the pin numbers or a photocopy of the voters cards, charging voters not to fall for an evil plot to deny them their voting rights.

The governor who described the development as criminal practices and a breach of the provisions of the electoral act called on the electoral commission to wade into the matter as reports point to an insider collusion in the APC operations.

“I task the electoral body not to look the other way. We have reports of insider collusion which we are still investigating. Any link between the pin numbers on the voters card and manipulations of the voting process is a source of concern for us. We trust the electoral body to act.

“My dear people of Osun state, don’t sell your voters cards; your cards are your power to vote and elect your leaders on August 15 and beyond. Osun APC wants to stop you from voting. Don’t submit your cards”, the governor was quoted as saying in the statement.

GOVERNOR ADELEKE IMPLEMENTS HEALTH INSURANCE ENROLMENT FOR OSUN TRADITIONAL RULERS, COMMISSIONS MULTIPURPOSE HALL

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, on Tuesday commissioned the newly completed Osun Health Insurance Agency (OSHIA) Multipurpose Hall and formally flagged off the enrolment of traditional rulers and their queens into the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS).

Speaking at the event, Governor Adeleke described the twin initiatives as another landmark achievement of his administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality and affordable healthcare for all residents of Osun State.

“The free enrolment initiative is another bold step by our administration to ensure that traditional rulers and their queens enjoy qualitative healthcare services without financial hardship, in line with our people-centred health policy.

“We have delivered across all sectors of the economy and our administration deserves to be re-elected. On this note, I commission the OHIS Multipurpose Hall and flag off the enrolment of our royal fathers into the state health insurance scheme,” Governor Adeleke stated.

The Governor noted that his administration has recorded significant milestones across infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture and workers’ welfare, including over 300 kilometres of roads, more than 200 rehabilitated primary healthcare centres, over 150 rehabilitated schools, payment of salary and pension liabilities, cooperative financing, agricultural support and ongoing construction of the state’s five-star stadium.

In his remark, the Executive Secretary of Osun Health Insurance Agency Dr. Rasaq Akindele appreciates Governor Ademola Adeleke for providing enabling environment for the agency to operate effectively and his people’s oriented programmes in the health sector. He said “this enrolment of our revered Royal Fathers and their Queens into the Scheme is strategic. It is an initiative that goes beyond providing health insurance coverage to our traditional rulers. By enrolling them into the Scheme, we are not only recognizing their invaluable contributions to community development but also empowering them to serve as ambassadors and advocates for social health insurance at the grassroots.”

He also stressed that the OSHIA Multipurpose Hall represents a lawful and strategic institutional investment undertaken in strict conformity with the enabling law of the Agency, with due regard for transparency, accountability and value for public resources.

The event featured glowing endorsements for Governor Adeleke’s second term by prominent traditional rulers. The Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, Larooye II, praised the Governor’s performance, declaring, “I will not stop eulogising Governor Adeleke for his excellent performance in Osun State.”

Similarly, the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa I, commended the Governor’s developmental strides across the state, saying, “I’m excited that my son, Governor Adeleke, is developing every nook and cranny of our communities.”
